Rosie had her first day at school… i mean what?! When did she get so big?
When did the 6 week’s go so fast? my eldest baby finished nursery and has now started big girl school. I mean, i swear yesterday she was just born. Now she’s running off to spend the day in a class room. We spent the holidays spending lots of time together as well as getting everything ready for the big day.
We started by getting ready last night- you can read about my organisation tips here in a previous blog post. Rosie had a bath and went to bed all ready for the morning. I got all her stuff ready and headed to bed myself.
I actually had to wake Rosie and Miyah up this morning for the first time in forever. Typical hey! we got up, had breakfast and got dressed. I had a cup of tea and got dressed myself. We then brushed our teeth and waited for nanny and Gracie so we could walk to school with them.
The walk to school was a bit of a shock to Rosie so early in the morning and she had told me a couple times her legs were tired. I explained we would be doing this everyday so she was going to get used it. When we arrived we had to wait to go into the classroom then the children had to find their pegs. Obviously we couldn’t find Rosie’s for ages!
Rosie had gone into the the class room and had a look around. Rosie was off! exploring and looking at all the different things, we went to one of the teachers and got her name tag so everyone knew what she was called. I said my goodbyes to her, but she wasn’t a tiny bit interested as she was talking to the other children and playing with the toys.
“Bye Rosie!”
“Bye…..!” Rosie said as she ran away.
I would say it was quite at home while she was at school but Miyah made up for both of them. She has finally found her voice. But that is for another time. i replied to a few emails then we had a nap for pick up at 1:15pm.
When we arrived to pick Rosie up she had told us all about her day and we went to a meeting after about her homework, reading and writing.
Rosie had a fabulous day at school and she even told me she wants to go back! Bonus!
Has any of your children had their first day at school? How did they do?
Until next time,
Becca x
