As all my loyal readers have known, Rosie has had a few problems with her chest growing up. You can read about it in my last post Rosie & Her Hospital Trips.
Well I have an UPDAATEEE! So many things have happened since I wrote the last post so let me tell you!
Since Rosie’s last hospital appointment; and I was seen by a new doctor, who I want to say, was bloody amazing. He explained everything about ‘Asthma’ and what we have to do to ‘control’ it. Rosie was off playing at this point and he told me it was all about controlling until she doesn’t need medication anymore.
He checked her over, and told me she was a little wheezy, and we needed to start treatment straight away. He gave us new meds and we where on our way!
Our plan went like this:
Steroid for 3 weeks, 6x in the morning 6x in the evening
Reliever 2x every 4 hours.
Anti-Histamines 2.5 ml a day.
Tablet 1x a day.
We did this, weaned the steroid and its now been 5 weeks and we have had !!!NO!!! problems, no wheezing and no coughing at night time. We have never felt more relieved in our lives. 4 years worth of problems and all she has to do is take 1 tablet a night. To take precautions, if she seems like she is coming down with a cold, we have to start up again for 2 weeks to help her out and then back to normal again.
For so long we have struggled, and now we have come so far and done so much to egt to this point and we are so proud of how Rosie has come too.
I want to thank everyone who has been there for us, and who has helped us through these hard times.
Hopefully there will be no next for this.
