07/05/2013, The day my world changed forever.
Monday the 7th of May, was Rosie’s 5th birthday.. I mean WHAT? 5. How the bloody hell has it been 5 years since I held my tiny little 7lb baby.
The past 5 years have changed my life. Bringing up this little human while I was so young was challenging and how everything has changed. This little girl is now a bright, beautiful and very smart girl who is thriving! She is doing amazing at school and handling all the big changes in her life extremely well. She has introduced a sister, gone from being home with mummy all the time, to full time school and even gone through 2 house moves! This girl never fails to amaze me.
This year for Rosie’s birthday, I let her choose what she wanted to do. Last year she had a party, and I was thinking this year she was going to pick the same but this little girl is the light of my life and picked McDonalds and Bowling with a friend! When I was younger I used to pick that every year for my birthday and it made me has so many memories.
She picked a friend from school to go with and we arranged for a late afternoon game and Mcdonalds for tea. In the morning, we went for a drive so she could use her birthday money to buy herself a new toy, which we loved. We loved watching her decide for herself what she wanted to have and we even managed to get a little maths lesson in by teaching her how to count with the money. She did awesome. She picked a new pushchair for her new babies, and two blind bag toys. She got herself some sweets and we drive home singing Moana!
By the time we got home, we only had a little amount of time before we had to go and pick up her friend before bowling, Rosie played outside with Michael while I had a rest. My friend Abbie turned up and we where off to pick up Rosie’s friend for a fun filled afternoon! We arrived at bowling and then it all started! They where amazing and loved trying to knock them all down! We then went to the arcade and the girls loved the 2p machines. After a good hour of them playing, and spending all their pennies, we walked over to McDonalds and had some food.
Did you know… that McDonalds do fish fingers?!?! Because I bloody well didn’t! The girls picked fish finger happy meals, and we sat and ate. The kids ate all their food and we headed home with more Moana songs and games.
I’m 100% sure Rosie loved her day and when we got home she went straight to bed as she was so tired! I don’t blame her.
That night, I sat and I actually realise I had a a 5 year old and I got a little bit emotional. I now, have a 5 year old. My little 7lb 1.5oz baby has now gone and i have a cheeky, beautiful girl that is growing up! Where has the time gone?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSIE. I love you.
