Mum Hacks- Tanith Carey. (Review.)

I was sent Mum Hacks, by Tanith Carey to review after the first book ‘Your baby, skin to skin’ i had reviewed (you can view this here).

Exactly what every time-starved modern mum needs. -Fiona Phillips.

Firstly i want to say how beautiful the cover of this book is. It is a hard back book of 162 pages not including the index, sources and recommended reading.

There is a paragraph at the start of the book from the introduction that says:

The reason i wrote this book is because when i brought my first baby, Lily, home i promised her that i would be an amazing mother. But when other pressures started to steal away the hours i always meant to spend with her, i became less and less the parent i wanted to be. So i wrote this book to help myself – and other parents – reclaim their promise.

And she does exactly that!! I have loved every second of this book. I have laughed and gained some very good tips on how to save time and spend more with my kids. There is a section on everything and some of the things she mentions i would have never have thought about.

It also made me smile because she doesn’t judge other parents. Some parents feed their children all organic fresh fruit and veg and make homemade meals every day, but in this book Tanith helps us save time, money and washing up by using frozen fruit and veg and having quick dinners some nights. (I am in no way judging parents lifestyles.)

There are hacks from the kitchen all the way to looking after yourself and i cannot stress how important that is.

I would give this book a 10/10 for definite. One of the best books i have read in a while and i would recommend to any mum who struggles to time keep.

You can get the book on Amazon here for £9.98.

Thank you for reading x
