Rosie’s experience in growing her own plants.

So while down B&Q to get some finishing touches for the new house Rosie was looking at all the seeds in the plant section, she picked the most funniest things that she wanted to grow.

We always take Rosie into the garden section of our B&Q. She loves looking at all the flowers and plants. On the day we took a trip down she was looking at the seeds and asked me if the plants where inside. I explain that we had to plant them, for them to grow then she could see them. Her face lit up like a light bulb and i decided it would be nice for us to plant some stuff together.

We went and picked some flowers for mummy and a raspberry plant for Michael, picked a nice pot for those plants to go in and got some soil. We grabbed a large pot for Rosie’s seeds to go in and we went to pick out seeds.

I had to explain a few times that it would be very difficult for us to grow pumpkins & water melons so we decided to go for carrots. Rosie grabbed the seeds and put them in the post and we paid! She was very excited!

When we got home we laid everything out and started with the flowers and raspberry plant. We filled the pot up with soil and i planted the flowers. Rosie filled the rest of the plant up with soil and we set it aside to start on the carrots.

Rosie filled the larger pot up with soil, she loved doing this and then we made little groves for the seeds to go into. Rosie loved looking at all the little seeds and started putting them in the pot one by one haha!

We then put a little more soil over the top and she ‘patted’ it down very carefully! At this point i realized that we didn’t have a watering can so the #DIYmummy in me made one out of a empty coke bottle. I cut holes in the bottom and filled it up. Rosie then watered all the plants and we we set then in their places.

Now it’s time to wait to see what happens. Of course i will update you all!

Do you and your kids do anything special together? have you planted something or made something together? Let me know below.
