I was sent a lovely package from the Appy Kids Co to review their product and i am seriously loving it!
I was sent 3 large boxes of juice packs for Rosie. They are 200ml juices with a straw. Tropical flavor which include some amazing flavors:
- Green Apple
- Passion fruit
- added with the sweetener Stevia
There are 5 in a pack and i received 15 to review & they came very nicely packaged. The box is sturdy and looks very child friendly with a picture of the minions on. It also shows some of the fruit that is included in the drinks. As soon as Rosie saw the boxes on the table she was asking me all the questions she could!
“Hey mummy, is that mine?”
“What are they, mummy?”
“Mummy! Look it’s a minions, what are they doing?”
“Can i have a look please?”
Of course she was excited i mean, there where 3 quite large boxes on my kitchen table and it is bright and colorful. The best type of packaging you want for kids to get involved. Rosie spent the first 5 minutes laughing at the box, she watches minions everywhere. on the telly, my phone, her tablet and loves looking at books with them. She watches all the movies too. I explained that they where drinks and i wanted her to try on for me so she could tell me what they where like.
She opened the straw quite easy but had a hard time piercing the hole for the straw to go in. She tried it and her own words where:
Now i know that isn’t a lot.. but she then proceeded to finish one, then have another 3 in the space of 30 minutes. I think she likes them. I had to actually stop her from getting more otherwise she would pop! When i was met with a growl and a “But i’m thirsty mummy” Yeah, okay Rosie! haha.
On the back of the boxes there is a “Let’s Play!” Where there is a joke, a spot the difference and the option to download a App for kids to play on. This i liked because is dire needs my phone can help me in some situations of keeping Rosie still and quite.
There is also, an “Also available” part showing different types of drinks you can get. This includes Paw Patrol & Peppa Pig. So if your child isn’t a fan of minions there are other options for them to try,
I also tried these drinks, because why not? Rosie made a huge fuss over loving them! I quite liked the taste, although the banana stood out mostly to me and Michael but it still tastes lovely and i can see why Rosie loved it so much. I am always being conscious of foods and drinks with fruit in them because i know that fruit have such a high natural sugar content. In these pouches there are 3.6g of sugars. Kids a day should ideally being having around 37.5g of sugar a day, which in comparison to this the drinks are quite low. a 237ml bottle of raspberry fruit shoot has a content of 17g of sugar. So i would give my children one of these pouches rather than a fruitshoot.
Overall i give these a 4/5! a fab product and i will defiantly be buying more when they hit the shops
